Golfing in Portugal

Over the past decade, Portugal became an increasingly popular golfing destination. When you think Portugal, you think golf. This is not surprising because various golf courses were built in the South in the past ten years. Moreover, the weather is an important factor as well. The mild climate turns golf into sheer pleasure. The most popular golf courses are located in the South, in the Algarve, and on Costa Estoril and Costa Azul, near Lisbon. There is an abundance of different types of golf courses. Beautiful links golf courses are built in the dunes along the coastline, but the parkland golf courses inland are magnificent as well.
