Please remember that they should always be kept inside their bag. As long as the weight of the golf clubs plus the passenger baggage does not exceed the baggage allowance, no special surcharge will be made.
Golf equipment
Golf equipment is defined as consisting of a bag containing a pair of golf shoes plus a set of golf clubs, the overall weight of which is under 15 kg.:
1.Admittance to the flight Golf clubs must be firmly secured inside the bag, in such a way as to avoid disturbances or damage when boarding or disembarking and during the flight.
2 Excess luggage Under the weight system:
If the combined weight of the passenger's golf equipment and luggage does not exceed their allowance, there will be no special supplement to pay.
If the combined weight of the passenger's golf equipment and luggage exceeds their normal permitted allowance, they will be required to pay a sum corresponding to the special rate for 6 kg of excess luggage or the standard rate for normal excess, whichever is more beneficial to, provided that the golf equipment weighs no more than 15 kg.
In the event of golf equipment weighing more than 15 kg, the charge corresponding to standard excess luggage will apply.
If the equipment exceeds the number of pieces of luggage allowed, a special charge consisting of 50% of the excess fee will apply (provided that there is only 1 set of equipment).
For further sets of equipment, the standard charge for excess luggage will apply. charges are payable for excess weight at a rate of 1.5% of the value of the highest Tourist Class adult fare for a one-way journey without stopovers (class Y) in force on the date on which the excess luggage ticket is issued. The above applies regardless of the service class in which a flight booking has been made.
Or, charges for excess luggage are under the so called piece system. It is advisable to check with the airline or your travelagency, before you leave.
